My woodworking career started out as a hobby back in 2004 when I bought my table saw. My father-in-law did some woodworking and after he showed me some of the projects that he had made, I realized that this is an activity I could also enjoy. I took wood shop in junior high but never really enjoyed it like I do now. I find making something out of wood that until a while ago was just an idea in your head and maybe a drawing or two can be very rewarding.
My new woodworking activity is wood-turning. To me, wood-turning is more of crafting of the wood, sculpting it to what you see in your mind like pottery. Taking a chunk of wood and shaping into a bowl or cup or whatever is very satisfying.
